How long does the service last?

The service last maximum 3 hours (service time includes setup & pack up). Extra hours are charged $200+GST per hour for pizza only and $400+GST for pizza and paella.
We need to access the area about 1 to 1.5 hours before serving time.
We will be serving the pizza for maximum 2 hours once the oven is hot (Less for smaller catering); after that if there are any left overs, we leave the pizzas on large plates.

After all the pizzas are cooked, we start packing.

Pizzas and Paellas must be served at the same time.

How is the pizza served?

The pizzas are sliced on a wooden board and disposable plates are provided to grab the slices of pizza.

We provide a "food market style" service where the guests come to us to get the food on disposable plates, we do not provide waitstaff nor we clean up the property or venue where the event takes place; however, we do take care of leaving the area where we cook and serve the food cleared from rubbish.  The customer or the venue must provide rubbish bins to dispose of the used packaging. We do not provide rubbish bins nor take any rubbish back with us.

How big are the Pizzas?

Our Pizzas are about 9’ inch wide and usually cut to 4, although they could be cut to 6.

What do we do with the left overs?

We will be serving the Pizza for maximum 2 hours (Less for smaller catering) once it is ready; after that if there are any left overs, we will put the pizzas on big plates for you to keep.

Can we try your food?

This year we are not doing any markets as we have been flooded with bookings for private events and we have no time for anything else.

Saying that, we have some genuine reviews on google map that you can have a look at (Search "Freo Pizza" on Google map) at this stage you probably just have to trust our past customers, most of which are referrals from other customers anyways.

Do you charge travel fee?

Contact us for details. We service the greater Perth region, Margaret River, Busselton, Dunsborough, Bunbury and the South West. We can travel to other areas, just contact us for a specific price.

Based on the catering size and availability.
We might not be able to cater in rural locations for smaller catering, in peak season or for just pizza.

Which types of pizzas do you cook?

Please refer to our “Menu” page.

How do you serve and cook the pizzas?

The pizzas are cooked fresh on our wood fire pizza oven, we use fresh dough and we stretch each pizza on the spot, one after the other with different gourmet toppings.
We do a “Pizza Buffet” serving the pizzas sliced on a wooden board, the guests usually come to grab slices of pizzas or a whole pizza if they like; they can also ask for a specific pizza they like using the toppings that we have. It is all very interactive and relaxed.

Pizzas serving board is located next to the pizza oven, we do not supply wait service but you are welcome to organize your own, just let us know in advance so we can arrange platters for the event.

What do we need in terms of space and location?

We need about 3x4 meter area with vehicle access in order to get the oven trailers in. Back yard event needs a paved clear way of 1.2 meters and should be notified of the in advance.
Ultimately we decide if, in your preferred location it is safe and/or possible for us to cook and we might decide to change location if unsuitable with our needs.
We bring a gazebo incase of rain, but often that would not be helpful in very stormy weather and in that scenario we will discuss with the venue on the best location option.

We cannot setup the pizza ovens on terraces and veranda as it cannot be carried up stair cases though to weight and size.

We don’t do site visits prior the event, however we are very expert in what we do and we can always find a way to make everything happen. If you are concern or have specific requirements about the setup and location we can check the location through Google Map or you can send us some photos.

What happens in case of a Total Fire Ban or

In case of TFB we hold the permits to operate and carry the correct equipment and will apply for relevant permits from the Department of fire and emergency. Those permits might not be given in Parks and reserves such as “Nanga Bush Camp”.

In case fire danger rating is changed to “Catastrophic” we will check relevance and danger rating as well as advice from the fire department and will act accordingly. Some of our ovens can be run on LPG that is approved for that scenario.

When do I need to pay the balance?

The balance must be paid up to 5 business days after the event, the final invoice will be sent at the start of the booking week. Please do not send any money without asking permission first as we will send it back to you.

Once the deposit is paid you are 100% booked in, and we will contact you on the week leading to the event to confirm the details and arrange the payment.
